The Quality of Broadmindedness

This Spiritual Teaching accepts the position that Truth, high ethics, and spiritual values are paramount to all of us as spiritual beings expressing human lives.  The combination of the best of philosophy, science, and religion are at the fore of our pathways to greater livingness.

This Spiritual Teaching not only believes in God, it is convinced that God is all there is, and therefore there is no place that God is not.  Numerous people have accepted this broadminded viewpoint.  Speaking for them, we all live by principles that are readily proven.  Whatever we believe is the cause of our particular experiences; this is true for everyone.  Practice this understanding daily.  It includes that we are wise to work continuously toward allowing the Higher Intelligence to think as us, feel as us, and act as us.  Every person is on the road toward the good life; God disapproves of no one.

No two persons are on the same pathway.  Spirit is everywhere and all people are doing what they believe is right for them.  This Spiritual Teaching approves of this!

A broad inclusiveness means that every person who calls himself or herself Christian is doing the right thing.  The emphasis on high morality and providing Christian services is commendable.  Do not think that any Christian is more right than another is.  The Christian approach to reality is wonderful and contains an infinite number of pathways.

The people of Islam are wonderful children of God; Dr. Royal most particularly appreciates the Sufi tradition within Islam.  He does not use the Islamic faith to determine his direction, yet he endorses the Sufi expression of Islam.  The interest to live in accordance with their beliefs about Spirit is commendable.

Dr.  Royal finds the Buddhist practices of great assistance to people in letting go of making their more primitive desires the dominant feature of their expressiveness.  Their practices of meditation and of focusing their attention upon the middle road feels good to him.

The variety of ways that Hindus worship and their varied practices are excellent.  Krishna and Hinduism’s many different gurus are valuable ambassadors of God.

Although Lao Tzu’s philosophy about the flow of life and the pathway that encompasses it is very ancient, it is very delightful and spiritually invigorating.  It supports spiritual life in ways that provide a great sense of meaning.

The Torah and Moses’ contribution to understanding spirituality is an essential ingredient of a full ability to know the Presence of God.  Judaism in all of its streams contains excellent teachings.  Moses’ direct pathway to God through recognizing the great “I am” is especially noteworthy.

The spiritually inspired leaders of all ages including Hermes, Pythagoras, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Rama, Rumi, Zoroaster, and Orpheus are inspiring.  Also, we pay tribute to the many great philosophers, scientists, and psychologists.

First and foremost, be for all.  We are against no-one.  All are for the One whether they know it or not.  More than being respectful of their lives, accept that they are all children of God, our very brothers and sisters.
